John Paul Trabbic III is the creator and executive producer of Middlemost Post.

Trabbic previously worked on Chozen and Archer (plus one animated segment from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia) at Floyd County Productions. He eventually moved to Nickelodeon and became a storyboard artist on Pig Goat Banana Cricket. Later, Trabbic began working on SpongeBob SquarePants as a storyboard director/artist and writer from Season 9b up until Season 13.

Around the time of Middlemost Post's announcement, Brian Morante (another SpongeBob story artist) posted on Twitter that Trabbic had left the SpongeBob crew on June 16th. That very same day, Middlemost Post was formally announced.[1]

For his efforts in the industry and work-from-home innovation on Middlemost Post, he received the honor of being one of 2020's "Animators to Watch" by Variety Magazine.

Trivia[]

  • Trabbic is the third SpongeBob storyboard artist after Erik Wiese (The Mighty B!) and C.H. Greenblatt (Harvey Beaks) to create a Nicktoon, and the fifth to create their own show if you count Greenblatt's own Chowder at Cartoon Network and the short-lived Disney series Billy Dilley's Super-Duper Subterranean Summer! by Aaron Springer.
    • Fellow crew member Brian Morante would follow in early 2021 with the announcement of ZJ Sparkleton on Nick.
  • Trabbic wishes to incorporate elements of his life into the events of Middlemost Post, mainly based off of his former addiction to drugs and subsequent turning of his life around (for example, Parker's backstory is indirectly lifted from said drug experiences).
